Machine Direction Orientation (MDO) units are designed for maximum versatility. They can be installed in-line with blown or cast film lines, supporting both single and multilayer versions. Alternatively, they can operate independently, fed by pre-wound film rolls.
All MDO units are built in a vertical, stand-up configuration, a compact design that minimizes their footprint on the factory floor.
The machines are available with both water and oil roll heating units, capable of reaching temperatures up to 220 °C, ensuring uniform and controlled heating. Each unit features a chain-driven film insertion system, which streamlines and speeds up process startup, reducing setup times and manual intervention.
Depending on the material type and composition, the film can be stretched up to 10 times its original length. This is achieved through the presence of one or two stretching stations, which provide high precision in tension and elongation control.
