Falling weight impact tester

This instrument is used to measure the impact resistance of various types of plastic pipes (such as water supply and drainage pipes, sewage pipes, gas pipes, and communication pipes, commonly made from materials like PVC, PE, and others). It’s an ideal testing instrument for testing institutes, manufacturing units, building material industries, and scientific research centers.

International reference standards : ISO 3127, BS EN 1411, BS EN 744, ASTM D2444, and other equivalent norms.

  • Falling weight impact tester for pipes ranging from 10 mm to 630 mm in diameter.
  • The test involves impacting the test object with a mass of known weight dropped from a pre-set height.
  • The operator must manually remove the test object and visually inspect it to assess the impact’s effects.
  • The system includes an anti-rebound device to prevent the mass from striking the test object a second time after rebounding, which would alter the test’s validity.
  • After the test, the mass is automatically returned to its starting height, which can be adjusted between 50 mm and 2000 mm.
  • The instrument is equipped with a safety interlock door for access to the impactor.
