CFT-EX Series Capillary Rheometer

The CFT-EX Series is a constant test force extrusion capillary rheometer designed to evaluate the fluidity and thermal properties of plastics, rubbers, thermosetting resins, toners, composites, ceramic materials and other materials.

The instrument measures the viscosity resistance generated when a molten sample is extruded through a capillary. The sample is inserted into the cylinder, heated and subjected to constant pressure by a piston. The piston movement speed allows the flow rate, apparent viscosity, shear rate and shear stress to be calculated.

The CFT-EX Series is suitable for research and development, quality control and production process control. It can operate using either the constant temperature method or the constant heating rate method, making it useful for evaluating softening temperature, flow beginning temperature and material fluidity characteristics.

The system provides high test force precision thanks to its weight-based loading system, a wide pressure range and stable temperature control. The software allows users to set test conditions, start the test, acquire and save data, generate reports and reanalyse results.
