Tackiness Checker HTC-1

The Tackiness Checker HTC-1 is a practical and portable instrument developed for on-site testing of the tackiness of rubber components and, depending on the application, adhesive tapes. It’s crucial in tire and tape vulcanization and molding processes, where verifying the tackiness of multilayer components is fundamental before the forming process. The HTC-1 offers a simple and portable methodology for accurate field tests.

Its features include portability (1.3 kg), tackiness verification on production samples, testing via simple pressure, automatic rotation of the contact ring for each test, easy cleaning of the contact ring, and optional sample surface temperature measurement.

The measurement is performed using a load cell, with a maximum capacity of 20 N and a resolution of 0.1 N. The standard pressure force is 10 N (selectable between 5 and 12 N). It offers two options for pressure time (3 or 6 seconds) and three for the number of measurements (1, 3, or 5 times). Different types of contact rings can be used depending on the sample surface.
