Safety shoes impact testers

The Safety shoes impact testers is a machine used to verify how resistant safety shoes are to impacts, as required by international standards such as EN ISO 20344, ANSI-Z4, BS EN-344, and CSA-Z195 LD-50.

There are three types of these impact testers: GT-KB17A, GT-KB17B, and GT-KB17C.

How it Works:

• A 20 kg (+/- 0.2 kg) mass is dropped vertically from an adjustable height (up to 1100 mm).
• The impact energy generated is either 100 or 200 Joules, depending on the specific test requirements.
• This steel impact mass strikes the shoe at the designated test point, typically the toe cap.
• After the impact, the shoe is inspected to ensure it has withstood the force without significant failure.

Safety Features:

• A protective enclosure surrounds the machine to prevent objects from being projected outwards.
• A separate control panel allows the operator to remain at a safe distance from the impact zone.
• An electromagnetic system holds and releases the mass precisely from the set height.
• Buffer cylinders are in place to prevent the mass from rebounding and causing a secondary impact.
