Melt Flow Index Testers

AMSE offers a complete range of instruments for measuring the melt flow index (Melt Index) of polymeric materials.
Standards ISO 1133, ASTM D1238
Test methods: Gravimetric method A (MFR – Melt Flow Rate); Volumetric method B (MVR – Melt Volume Rate).

These instruments are crucial for Quality Control (QC) of polymer granules and powders. Performing repeated Melt Index tests also provides valuable information about material behavior, including the thermal stability of the polymer. This knowledge can be very useful during processing (molding, extrusion, etc.) and fine-tuning process conditions.

  • Software: Allows for downloading and processing obtained data.
