Medical Tube Extrusion Line – Single Screw Extruder

Plant for the production of medical tubes. The plant consists of the following components:

• Single-screw extruder with technical characteristics functional to the required output.
• Gear pump, optional, recommended when it is desired to obtain tubes with very tight precision tolerances.
• Die head for tube production. Various types of dies are available, starting from single cavity dies, to bi-lumen as in the photo and tri-lumen dies.
• Tube cooling and calibration unit, consisting of a tank with a total length of more than three meters, divided into a first part under vacuum and a second cooling part.
• Haul-off and cutting unit, complete with a control unit with touch screen for entering the tube haul-off and cutting parameters, with variable speed between 6 and 60 m/min and a number of cuts up to 400 per minute.
• Tube packaging unit in predefined batches, consisting of a conveying unit that receives and counts the tubes arriving from the cutting unit.
