Limited Oxygen Index Tester

The FT SOLUTIONS LOI (Limited Oxygen Index) Tester is an advanced instrument for determining the minimum oxygen concentration required to sustain the combustion of a sample. It uses an adapted paramagnetic oxygen analyzer, ensuring high precision, long operational life, reliability, and an extremely low error rate.

Alongside this, the TI (Temperature Index Tester) system measures the sample’s temperature index by heating the mixing gases up to 400 °C within the test chamber. This methodology, compliant with ISO 4589-3, allows for the evaluation of material combustibility under high thermal conditions, often providing a more indicative parameter than the oxygen index alone.

The FT SOLUTIONS LOI tester also stands out for its simple and functional design: it features a compact structure with a low-profile glass chimney, a practical foot pedal switch for starting the test, and an integrated data acquisition system (DAQ) with a PC for real-time recording and analysis of results.

The equipment complies with international standards such as ASTM, ISO, NES, KS, and others, making it ideal for testing laboratories, certification bodies, and industries that need to evaluate the flame-retardant properties of materials with precision and reliability.
