UV Chambers BGD 855 and BGD 856

When subjected to excessive exposure to UV rays many materials deteriorate their weather resistance. The UV lamps are used to reproduce a narrow range of wavelengths of the solar spectrum. Depending on different methods required are necessary UV lamps with different wavelengths. This is because each lamp produces irradiation energy and waves with different wavelengths from each other.

BGD 855 e 856

BGD 855 and 856 are accelerated aging floor chambers equipped with fluorescent UV lamps. The indoor temperature and humidity can be controlled to enable a full assessment of damage generated by these factors (the aging phenomena of materials include fading, chalking, intensity, breaking and oxidation) . Fluorescent UV rays simulate sunlight and condensation and water sprays simulate the effects of rain and dew. During the test you can also control the irradiation energy. A typical test cycle involves to subject the samples to a strong irradiation of UV rays, followed by a condensation period with 100% relative humidity.

These tests are usually conducted in different fields like automotive, plastic, wood, adhesives, paints and coatings.
